Philaserdica International Philatelic Exhibition (1979): National Theatre Ivan Vazov (Sofia): The construction of the theatre was finished in 1906, and the opening ceremony was held on 3 January 1907. It was projected by the architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer, to become one of Sofia’s most imposing and representative buildings, in the art nouveau style. The auditorium seating 848.
