Postage stamp designer: Yankari Game Reserve contains the largest surviving elephant population in Nigeria, estimated at 100-150 individuals, one of the largest remaining in West Africa. In addition, it also supports an important population of the critically endangered West African lion, as well as buffalo, hippopotamus, roan and hartebeest.
