The Eastern Africa cheetah population is estimated at 2,102 mature individuals distributed across 14 subpopulations: 1,250 mature individuals in the Serengeti/Mara/Tsavo/Laikipia landscape in Kenya and northern Tanzania. 184 in the Ruaha landscape (central Tanzania). 55 in the Katavi-Ugalla landscape (Tanzania). 47 in the Maasai steppe (Tanzania), etc. Global population: 6,517.
