Iberian tree frog: The previous taxonomic concept of Hyla arborea occurred in Iberia and France, eastwards to western Russia and the Caucasian region, and southwards to the Balkans and Türkiye. Following genetic analysis, H. molleri and H. orientalis have been elevated from subspecies to distinct species. Thus subpopulations from Spain and Portugal have been allocated to H. molleri.
