Bridget of Sweden (Johannes Junge, 1425): Vadstena Abbey: The Kalmar Union (1397-1523) joined under a single monarch the three kingdoms of Denmark, Sweden and Norway, together with Norway's overseas colonies. Eryk Gryf, duke of Pomerania, ruled over the union from Copenhagen until 1439.
