Pyhäkoski power plant: Oulujoki Power Company started its venture of harnessing the watercourses of the river Oulujoki in Pyhäkoski (1941). Because of the continuation war (1941-1944), it was not connected to the power grid until 1949. The maximum capacity is 147 megawatts, and 32.4 meters its full regulation height. The plant were projected by the architect Aarne Ervi. (Matti Enbuske, 2010: 314)
