Western green lizard: The recent scientific tendency treats Lacerta bilineata and Lacerta viridis as separate species, but this is only weakly supported by genetic data. On the other hand, L. bilineata is conspecific with L. viridis as they hybridize and possess reduced genetic differentiations.
