Located at Vasilissis Sofias avenue, the church of Saint George was part of the Rizarios Ecclesiastical School, which was founded in 1841 by Georgios Rizaris, merchant and national benefactor of Greece. The school was transferred to Chalandri in 1950, but the church remained at its original location.
