Postage stamp engraver: The Emperor's Castle is the most remarkable testimony in north central Italy of the architectural school developing around the personality of Friedrich II von Hohenstaufen, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire from 1220 to 1250. The structure is based on four main towers in square shape whose vertexes indicate the cardinal points. (Rete Civica di Prato, 2020)
